Overview is a personal app run by Alex for a small group of friends. Nobody pays for it, there are no ads, and nothing is sold. This page says what Overview keeps, where it lives and who can see it.
What Overview keeps
Your account: your name, email address, profile picture if you add one, and your passkeys. Your password is never stored, only a scrambled version of it that can't be turned back.
Everything you add: habits and check-ins, subscriptions, notes and folders, calendar events, focus sessions, chats with the assistant and your settings.
If you use AI: one line per request with what it cost. What you wrote is kept as your note or chat, not in that cost list.
Where it lives
In a database at Neon, in Frankfurt, Germany. The app itself runs on Cloudflare, which carries everything between your phone or computer and the database over an encrypted connection.
Who can see it
Only you. Overview shows the owner (Alex) each member's name, AI choice and AI cost, never your habits, notes or anything else you write.
As with any website, the person who runs it could reach the database directly. Alex won't look at your things, and Overview has no screen that shows them.
What goes to AI
It depends on the choice you make with the AI button:
No AI: nothing leaves Overview. Its built-in reader handles dates, amounts and folders on its own.
Access through Alex: the sentences you send to AI, and the notes it needs to answer, go to Anthropic (the company behind Claude) under Alex's account.
Your own API key: the same goes to Anthropic or OpenRouter under your own account, on their terms.
Notes in folders where AI is switched off (Health and Money start that way) are never sent to AI.
Emails
Overview only sends emails you ask for: confirming your address and resetting your password. They go out through Resend.
Cookies
Only the ones that keep you signed in and remember your settings. No trackers, no analytics, no ads.
Your data, your call
Profile → Sign-in & security lets you download everything as one file, or delete your account and everything in it for good.
Alex keeps backup copies of the database on their own computer in case something breaks. A deleted account disappears from those as old backups are replaced.
